With rooms licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and with the parish church within the grounds, we are able to offer you the option of celebrating either a civil or religious wedding ceremony at Layer Marney Tower. The garden wedding venue creates a delightful space for your wedding party to gather for a drinks reception, prior to your wedding breakfast and party. And at the end of the evening, the bridal suite is just a short walk across the courtyard.

Working with you –

We have been helping couples make their dreams come true for over 25 years – and the single most important thing we have learned is that every wedding is different. Everyone at Layer Marney Tower will work with you, ensuring that your wedding dreams become reality.

Everybody’s tastes are different – particularly with regard to music! That is why we encourage you to choose your own band or DJ, florist, photographer, cake maker and much more. Having said which, we are often asked for recommendations… Listed here are some of the suppliers we have enjoyed working with and who have had good feedback from our wedding couples.

All of the catering is organised by Bouquet Garni. In the interests of safety, all fireworks must be arranged through Dynamic Fireworks.

Thank you all for allowing us to use your amazing venue for our wedding! A special thanks for being animal friendly. One of our criteria when picking a venue was allowing dogs… He stole the show and was also well looked after!

We both had the best day ever. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting. The weather was a bonus too! All staff were lovely and friendly. Massive thank you to Karen who was so helpful all the way through the process. All the guests loved the idea of the Routemaster Bus and enjoyed the ride. Both Lucy and i would like to say thank you for all your help throughout the entire process. From the day we first looked round the venue we knew Layer Marney Tower was the magical place for our wedding and it did not disappoint on the day! The Gardens and rooms are brilliant and all the guests loved them.

Thank you also for you (Karen), and your colleagues help throughout too. Providing us with information, letting us visit a number of times beforehand and being there to advise and direct and help on the day.

Guests were in awe of where we got married and Lucy got her dream of getting married in a Castle (well tower is close enough!).

Wow! What a Wedding! What a fabulous day, right from the moment Graham arrived at home with the beautiful 1930’s Rolls to take us to church, throughout the afternoon until after the bride and groom had left for their honeymoon, everyone at Layer Marney looked after us all with such kindness, thoughtfulness and absolute perfection in every detail.

Thank you to you both (Karen – LMT and Charlotte – Bouquet Garni) and all the team for creating the perfect wedding reception for Emma and Oli. Having time to enjoy the gardens whilst we all drank champagne and ate delicious canapees was the perfect backdrop for a wonderful reception. The Barn looked stunning, a very special venue to sit with friends and family, eat a very delicious grazing board which looked so beautiful, and then enjoy dancing to the sax band.

We have received some amazing letters from our guests who all seem to concur, what a totally fabulous and memorable day, the best wedding they have been to!
