Whatever the season, wherever you are in your life, Layer Marney Tower is the ideal place to celebrate your marriage. And it is surprisingly affordable. Whether you choose a Saturday in August for 120 guests, or a Tuesday in January for 40, you can be sure that we will work our hardest to make your day everything you could hope for.
A wedding at Layer Marney Tower has as a backdrop one of Britain’s most beautiful and romantic places – which probably explains why King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I both visited.
Everyone can be assured of an open and warm welcome at Layer Marney Tower. Where possible the buildings and grounds are fully accessible, with lifts, ramps and gentle slopes. Being 500 years old and Grade 1 listed does mean that some parts of the buildings are not easily accessible, but we are constantly looking at ways to improve. If you have particular needs please ask – if we can help we will.
Throughout the year you can have exclusive use of Layer Marney Tower every Friday and Saturday, as well as every day of the week from October to March.
The tower and grounds are open to general visitors for about 70 days a year, but for all other days of the year you may have Layer Marney Tower exclusively for the enjoyment of your friends and family.

Like most venues, we charge more for a Saturday than other days of the week, and more for the summer months than the winter months. There are a whole range of prices from a Saturday in August to a Thursday in January, meaning you can have exclusive use of this beautiful venue from as little as £2,200.
Come rain or shine, Layer Marney cannot be bettered – beautiful buildings and beautiful gardens – so you can enjoy your wedding both inside and outside, whatever the weather.
