The Average Wedding Cost

This information is designed to give you a clear idea of the amount you can expect to pay if you hold a wedding at Layer Marney Tower. The wedding venue charge is fixed, so the more people you have the less you pay per person.

Sample 1 – Wedding ceremony and reception for 80 daytime guests and 30 evening guests
Sample 2 – Wedding reception for 120 daytime guests and 50 evening guests
Sample 3 – Wedding ceremony and reception for 30 guests, without dancing

There is a fixed fee of £950 that is charged for a wedding ceremony. These usually take place in the Corsellis Room which can seat up to 120 guests. Other rooms such as the Hall of the Gatehouse and Tuke’s Chamber are also licensed and may be suitable for smaller numbers.

The prices that are charged for a reception vary with the day of the week and the month of the year. The reception price includes the bridal suite and use of our stately wedding Rolls Royce.

  • Chicken and chorizo terrine, bacon, jam, maple glaze
  • Slow roasted shoulder of lamb with rosemary jus and potatoes dauphinoise
  • Coconut panna cotta, mango sauce
  • Tea, coffee and chocolates

Number of guests: 120 during the day plus 50 in the evening
