Wedding Events at Layer Marney Tower

For my opening blog of the new year, I thought it would be the ideal time to let you know about the upcoming wedding events taking place at Layer Marney Tower in the next few months.
Firstly, Happy New Year! Hello to any of you that regularly read our blog and a warm welcome to any newly engaged couples who are just starting their journey into searching for a dream wedding venue.
The dates for your diary are:
27th/28th January 2024 – Wedding Viewing Weekend
25th February 2024 – Wedding Open Day
17th March 2024 – Wedding Show
Our first event of the year is a Wedding Viewing Weekend that will be taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January. Our diary is now open for viewing appointments, that will be available throughout both days. Members of our wedding team will be able to give you a tour of the venue, including the Corsellis Room or Layer Marney parish church for your ceremony.
Both the Long Gallery and the Barn, our two wedding reception spaces, will be dressed for a wedding with the help of our amazing caterers Bouquet Garni and recommended florist W Flowers.
Please note, this weekend is appointment only so to secure your viewing, please call us on 01206 330784 or e-mail karen@layermarneytower.co.uk as soon as possible, to get your preferred time slot.
On Sunday 25th February, we are holding a Wedding Open Day between 11am and 3pm.
During our Open Day, we will again be showing you a mock configuration of tables as if a wedding breakfast was taking place, and dressing both the Barn and Long Gallery.
If you wish to have a tour of the venue, members of our wedding team will be able to walk you round the venue and answer as many questions as you have about a possible wedding here. You will then have the opportunity to chat with Bouquet Garni about your catering requirements.
For added inspiration, we have also invited a number of our trusted wedding suppliers to exhibit, who will be more than happy to answer any of your questions. I am pleased to confirm that we already have florists, photographers, DJ’s, live musicians, cake makers, a photobooth and prop and decor supplier lined up. I am positive that this list will be extended in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on our social media accounts for details of who to expect here.
If you are interested in a wedding in the Layer Marney parish church, please feel free to wander over there and chat to one of the representatives from the church who can offer information and advise about a wedding in this beautiful setting.
There is no expectation to register in advance for our Open Days but we will have an expression of interest form live on our website by the end of January. Otherwise, just turn up on the day!
Following on from our Open Day, the next event will be one of the popular wedding shows organised by County Wedding Events on Sunday 17th March, from 11am to 3pm.

A wedding show is really the ideal time to find a wide selection of specialist wedding suppliers, all under one roof. Our wedding team will be available to answer any of your questions and offer you a tour.
Of course, as at any time of the year, we are able to offer private one-to-one viewings at other times to suit you and try to give as much flexibility as possible with when you can visit.
Saturday mornings are always a popular time to view, when I typically offer appointments starting at 9.30am and going onwards through until lunchtime.
However, we can see you mid-week during office hours, or possibly even a Sunday morning or mid-week evening.
