Wedding Show Season

The start of January not only marks the start of the New Year but in the world of weddings, is prime wedding show and wedding open day season.

It is so easy to Google local wedding suppliers or to take suggestions and advice from both your recently married friends or your wedding venue, but a wedding show can prove invaluable for that opportunity to chat informally with lots of suppliers all under one roof. It is definitely true that first impressions count; you need to get on with your suppliers and this is a chance to see if they catch your vision and can deliver the wedding you have in mind.

We have been hosting THE Wedding Fayre…! at Layer Marney Tower for over 16 years and being well-established means we have the luxury of attracting many local, trusted wedding suppliers. The majority of the exhibitors are suppliers that we have known for many years, having either worked here at previous weddings or provided services to our wedding couples.

However, organiser Sharon Donaldson always likes to keep things fresh and offer something exciting and new at each event…whether that be a supplier offering the latest trend or a new live musician on the scene.

Sharon will be organising The Wedding Fayre at Layer Marney Tower on Sunday 20th January from 11am to 3.30pm. There is no need to register your attendance in advance, just come along on the day to see how we can inspire you.

The wedding team from Layer Marney Tower will be on hand to offer informal tours of the venue throughout the day and to chat with you regarding a possible wedding, or to discuss availability of dates.

THE Wedding Fayre...! Registration Stand

If you are already booked here for a wedding, (smart choice!), and in your early stages of planning, the Fayre is equally helpful for meeting the caterers Bouquet Garni plus possible photographers, florists, cake makers and musicians – to name a few.

Following on from the Wedding Fayre on 20th January, we will also be holding a Wedding Open Day on Sunday 3rd February from 11am to 3pm.

The Open Day is the perfect opportunity to view the stunning Long Gallery dressed for a wedding. Our recommended florist, W Flowers, will showcase a variety of arrangements and centrepieces to give you ideas. Bouquet Garni will be offering tasty samples of food, served directly from their Citroen H Van – always a popular choice for informal evening food or for serving drinks from.

You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome at both of these events; we look forward to meeting you, whether you are newly engaged and at the start of the search for your dream wedding venue or if you are well into the planning and preparations for your big day.
